Serenity Society
In the United States, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner. It happens right here in Moore County and Friend to Friend is the only organization of it’s kind dedicated to helping. We need YOUR help to combat domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking in our community and transform lives..
Serenity House is our safe, emergency shelter. We have trained, caring staff available on-site 24/7, providing case management, counseling, and support for guests to begin healing physically, mentally, and emotionally. In the fall of 2021, we opened the Butterfly Cottage to meet the need for more space to serve additional survivors and provide more specialized victim-centered, trauma-informed support.
We also have a pet shelter for survivors fleeing domestic violence who want to bring their furry friends.
The average cost to support one family during their stay at Serenity House is $3,576.00. Families typically remain with us at Serenity House for roughly 90 days, though individual circumstances vary.
Join the Serenity Society to help Friend to Friend provide vital services and support to survivors fleeing interpersonal violence! Make your gift to the 2024 campaign below.
