Friend to Friend offers a variety of innovative educational programs. Each program is based on current best practices for maximum impact and designed to reach a broad range of populations throughout Moore County. School & Youth Programs

Youth and school programs are designed for K - 12 and can be facilitated both virtually and in person to request a presentation or training please fill out a program request form HERE.


Teen Dating Violence for Youth/Teens

Nearly 1.5 million high school students nationwide experience physical abuse from a dating partner in a single year. Using a case study, this program helps youth and teens understand red flags in a relationship, how to ask for help, and how to be an upstander in their community. 

Safe, Not Sorry - Human Trafficking Prevention

An opportunity for those in the targeted age group to learn how to recognize, respond, and how to ask for help. Youth 11 - 25 are encouraged to attend our one-hour training. Schools, youth groups, private small groups, teen clubs, etc. are encouraged to schedule this training.

Bullying K-12

Age-appropriate slideshows and quizzes that address what bullying is and isn't, the roles students have, and tips on what students can do to address bullying situations. This training is offered in either one-day or one-week sessions.

Cyber Safety for Students

This program provides age-appropriate videos and activities to help teach youth to be safer online with the goal of helping them to become more aware of potential risks and to help prevent victimization by making safer choices on- and offline.

 

COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

Friend to Friend Services

Interested in learning more about what we do? Host our community educator and gain a comprehensive understanding about Friend to Friends services, statistics, and ways to get involved.

Angel Shot Campaign

This campaign was designed to prevent sexual assault and other violence by urging people who felt unsafe at a bar or restaurant to ask staff for help. Our goal is to promote an environment of safety and bystander intervention from staff.

Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Basics

This 101-level program is designed for community members to help understand the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault. During this training you will learn about intimate partner violence, non-intimate partner sexual assault, trauma informed approaches when talking with survivors, and how to safely give resources to family and friends.

Domestic Violence Toolkit for Salons- *NEW*

Because of the unique relationship that salon professionals share with their clients, they may notice signs of an abusive relationship and help by safely providing clients information and resources. This training will equip salon staff with the tools necessary to recognize a survivor, provide a safe space and share local resources.

Human Trafficking- Up Close & Personal

An opportunity for those in direct contact with the targeted age group to learn preventative strategies that can build into relationships with teens. Parents and grandparents of teens, family members, teachers, youth pastors, and counselors are encouraged to attend.

Human Trafficking- Dare to Care

Designed for the community to learn why youth are vulnerable to human trafficking, the grooming process, how to recognize and report the signs of a trafficker. Neighborhood groups, businesses, faith-based communities’, social groups such as book clubs’ etc. are encouraged to participate.
